knitting shawls!

I'm in the process of knitting 3 different shawls for the 10 in 2010 on Ravelry right now.  I'm finally knitting my clapotis, the most beautiful Saroyan with 3IG felicity, and Lacy Baktus with Yarnlove Diana in the sleeping beauty colorway.  I love all of them.  I need to get them done so I can start my Faraway so close one when the yarn from 3IG gets here.  It's the yarn I got with David's Christmas gift to me.  So excited!

10 in 2010

I joined a new group on Ravelry.. I am going to knit 10 shawls in 2010.  I have cast on for 2 of them, and have plans for many, many more.  My first one is the Lacy Baktus in Yarnloves Diana, sleeping beauty colorway.  And the second one is Saroyan in Three Irish Girls Felicity in Mirth.  I LOVE this yarn and pattern.  I have made my first ever leaf, and it is so much fun!
I will post more progress pictures later.

knitting goals for 2010

I want to knit lots and lots of things this year.  I want to knit challenging items.  I want to knit socks.  :-)  I also want to knit 10 shawls.  And a sweater.  But those goals are vague, so I'm taking Maggie Stiefvater's advice and will make good obtainable resolutions.


I will finish Erik's scarf in January.  
I will start and finish Lisa's scarf and hat in February.
I will have one shawl done in March... which one??? There are so many. :-)  There is a group on ravelry I want to join called 10 shawls in 2010. I will update here when I have chosen my 10.  I know Ishbel and Springtime Bandit are in there, as well as the mini wool weavers one. 
I will start my first socks in February and will use Three Irish Girls kells merino in donegan.
Oh, and I will learn the magic loop method.
